Written for Dana Jessen, Ben Roidl-Ward, and Katherine Young, it exploits the bassoon's capacity for multiphonics and microtonal inflection to build dense, vibrating spectra from the instruments' fundamental acoustic properties alone - no electronics, no processing- occupying a rare space between the spectral worlds of S celsi and Dumitrescu and the sustained physical weight of Sunn O))). Across two long movements, the music moves between stasis and propulsion, arriving at transformation through sustained attention.
