Cancellation policy

While the majority of orders may be cancelled for a full refund or store credit at any time before fulfillment, there are a few exceptions outlined below meant to minimize cancellations that hinder our processes or cause inventory backlogs. Should a cancellation fee be applied, it will be no more than 10%, and will not be charged on any taxes, fees, or unused shipping credits/upgrades (cancellation fee applies only to item subtotals). Shipping charges for orders that are shipped or partially shipped can not be cancelled or refunded.

The following condition(s) may generate a cancellation fee of up to 10%:

1. Orders where the item(s) are allocated and are shipping or preparing to ship. (This can include returning backorders, in stock sales, or pre-orders that are about to release)

2. Repeated orders and cancellations, leading to numerous cancellation-related costs

3. Custom orders, Backorders, or Pre-Orders where titles are ordered for each specific order and are inbound at the time the cancellation is requested

4. Orders where the item subtotal is greater than $200.00 USD or the order is greater than or equal to 4 items

5. Turntables and Audio Equipment (turntables and audio equipment are ordered specific to each order and have a specific lead time, we are unable to cancel orders once we place them with our distributor; 10% cancellation fee will apply to the entire order subtotal)

6. Orders flagged by the payment processor as having risk or being high-risk, or placed by accounts with suspended purchasing privileges

7. International orders (Due to higher processing fees)

 

You may avoid any cancellation fees by requesting a store credit for the full amount or swapping out an ordered item for another item available on the site.

 

The reason for these fees being applied in certain circumstances is to cover the costs associated with canceling orders, including payment processing fees and inventory backlogs or malicious cancellations.

 

If a refund fails or is not able to be processed:

Some refunds may not be processed by the payment processor/financial institution for a number of possible factors. These situations are not in our control and in those cases, we must issue a store credit. We are unable to edit payment details for an order.

Some causes for a failed refund may include, but are not limited to:

  1. Timed out orders, 120 or 180 days depending on the payment processor
  2. Expired or deactivated purchase card
  3. Expired or deactivated purchase account

Please note, once an order has shipped, or is allocated and scheduled to ship imminently, the order can no longer be cancelled.

 

Returns - United States & Territories

We have a 60-day return policy for most items, which means you have 60 days after receiving your item to request a return. This excludes limited releases, signed/custom units, or single-run productions.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Note: Most returns will incur a restocking fee of 15-30% based on the order details and circumstances. 

To start a return, you can contact us at SoundsLikeVinyl@5SensesGroupLLC.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll provide instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be processed. In some cases, we will issue a prepaid return label.

Please note that shipping charges are not refunded as part of a return.

Returns - Delivery/Address Issues

Any packages that are unable to be delivered due to incorrect address information or other delivery issues will be treated as a return if we are contacted to approve the return. These returns will incur restocking fees in accordance with our return policies. Any packages returned without approved or contact, are not processed and cannot be refunded or accessed by our staff.

Returns - International & Export

We do not and cannot accept returns from international orders. Any credits, refunds, and other remedies will be determined on a case by case basis. SoundsLikeVinyl is not responsible for how packages and items are handled after leaving the United States, it is assumed by purchasing that buyers are aware of all import taxes, fees, processes, handling etc.

 

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Refunds will reflect any deductions such as cancellation fees, restocking fees, damaged return deductions, return shipping, etc.

 

Restocking fees

Restocking fees will be applied to most returns, including orders where an item is returned in part, or in a condition that is different from sale, as well as any orders that cannot be resold such as perishables, or used items. These restocking fees will be applied at our discretion, not to exceed 60%. Note: any returned items that are hazardous, leaking, or materially different will not be processed, refunded, or resent/replaced. Note: Most returns will incur a restocking fee of 15-30% based on the order details and circumstances.
