Arriving in 2002, Graham Coxon's fourth solo album presented an audible stepping up of both the guitarist's songwriting and arranging skills. 'Baby You're out of My Mind's deft fingerpicking nodded to early Bob Dylan, 'Locked Doors' grooved along a loose R&B boogie, while 'It Ain't No Lie's pared-back riffs were cut from a similar cloth to then newly emerging duo The White Stripes. Less of a DIY affair than it's predecessors the album features pedal steel player B.J. Cole and Louis Vause on keyboards, whhelped to fully flesh out the eclectic fare on offer. "I felt free to do whatever I wanted to do. I was expanding my sound and also finding a bit more calm in my songs" says Graham. "operates on a level of perversity, honesty and originality that blows most bands out of the water" - NME. Available as part of a comprehensive catalogue campaign via Transgressive. Faithfully reproduced packaging: kraftboard outer sleeve with silver foiling. Includes 12-page booklet of photos and credits. Follows his first wave of reissues in June, which included the critically acclaimed unreleased studio album Castle Park (reached #6 on the OCC Independent Chart). 5-date UK tour in November including SOLD OUT Kentish Town Forum
