3TWI - Fatima Al Qadiri's new EP - is Kuwaiti femme slang for dirty old man; literally 'male alley cat.'
Over four regional club tracks, Al Qadiri explores this humorous background character with vocal collaborators Bobo Secret, Lama3an and Gumar, conceptually following her long-term pre-occupation with dance music, gender identity and performance in West Asia. A musical homage and love letter to WA folk dance traditions, 3TWI celebrates the region's ethnic diversity and the shared love of music lore across borders through a coy queer lens.
